Pharmacy Technician Trainee (Pharmacy) - FT/80

Description

The Pharmacy Technician Trainee will:

• Be responsible for sterile compounding and automated inventory maintenance (ie., Pyxis). 
• Be responsible for performing general technician functions as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy. 
• Demonstrates mathematical aptitude.
• Demonstrates a positive team attitude and a willingness to perform general department functions as assigned by Director of Pharmacy.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• State of Vermont Pharmacy Technician License 
• Previous retail pharmacy experience (preferred)
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience (preferred)
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification within twelve (12) months of hire
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (preferred)
• Sterile compounding experience (preferred)
• Demonstrates good oral and written composition skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $19.00 - $24.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
