Job Title: Pharmacy Supervisor

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: 40hrs/wk, day shifts. Per department needs.
Location: Holy Cross Health - Silver Spring, MD

Position Purpose

Interprets and evaluates physician orders in order to prepare and dispense appropriate medications to patients at Holy Cross Hospital. Manages drug therapy of patients. Reviews, accesses and maintains patient medication records and profiles for allergies, drug interactions and therapeutic duplication to provide a consistent quality of patient care and appropriate drug therapy. Provides information to physicians, nurses, and patients. Performance demonstrates efforts to improve patient satisfaction, lower costs and improve quality. Assists with scheduling and the implementation of decisions from the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee.

Supervises the pharmacy staff in distributive functions and departmental operations under the direction of the pharmacy operations manager and director of pharmacy.

Requirements:                                                                                    

• Bachelor of Science in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.

• MD Pharmacist License

• Able to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff in order to meet departmental objectives. Must be able to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.

Pay Range: $61.51 - $95.37 USD Hourly

Pay is based on experience, skills and education.  Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.  The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
